"THE STONE FOUNDATION MYSTERY"

Killingly Conservation Commission's 2017 Walktober event is Sunday, Oct 15 - 1 pm

at 1892 Conservation Property - Sherman Memorial Forest,

170 Breakneck Hill Road in Dayville area of Killingly.

Join conservation leaders for a two-mile walk over moderately rough woodland trails

to consider the lives of the early residents of Killingly.

Why would colonial settlers build a stone foundation and well in the middle of the woods?

How does the Conservation Commission and ECFLA Land Trust coordinate 160 acres for open space protection?

How did the Town of Killingly acquire the 72 acres in 1892?

Directions:  From US 395, Exit 41, go east on Route 101 for 1 mile.

Turn left on Breakneck Hill Road for 1 mile.  Follow the Walktober signs.
