Appointed by the Town Manager and serving at the pleasure of the Town Council, the Open Space Land Acquisition Committee consists of two citizens at large, and one member each from the following: Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission, Economic Development Commission, Board of Recreation, and the Conservation Commission. The committee was created "to identify and/or review potential acquisition of land or interests in land for open space, natural resource protection, recreational or agricultural purposes, and to make recommendations to the Town Council regarding acquisition of such land and other proper uses of the Open Land Acquisition Fund."
Meets: Periodically, but not less than bi-annually.
