DUE TO SOCIAL DISTANCING, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE THE USE OF OUR DROP BOX LOCATED NEAR THE HANDICAP ENTRANCE, OR MAIL WITH A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED RETURN ENVELOPE. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ENCLOSE A COPY OF ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION FROM YOUR VET, WHICH SHOULD INCLUDE PROOF OF RABIES AND PROOF OF SPAY/NEUTER. THE LICENSE RENEWAL PERIOD HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH JULY 31, 2020. ANY RENEWALS RECEIVED AFTER THAT DATE WILL INCUR A $1 PER MONTH LATE FEE FOR EACH DOG. PLEASE VIEW OUR LIMITED OFFICE HOURS IF YOU PLAN ON COMING IN PERSON.
The office of the Town Clerk is responsible for recording, indexing, and preserving Killingly’s valuable permanent records. It is also responsible for all elections and referendums governed by the Secretary of State. Other responsibilities of the Town Clerk’s Office include: land record information; birth, marriage & death certificates; fishing, hunting & trapping licenses; dog licenses; notary services; meeting notices, agendas & minutes; map subdivision, boundary & easements; voter registration; absentee ballot requests; genealogy information; trade names; and filing of military discharges.
